Director, Strategic Marketing
Chris Mills is the Director of Strategic Marketing for CDI @ TMC and is responsible for defining and implementing the overall marketing strategy for devices in early-stage development. This role works across a breadth of different technologies and clinical spaces, and his functional responsibility focuses on assessment of new opportunities to drive longer-term growth for J&J’s medical device business. In addition, as the commercial lead at CDI, he builds comprehensive business cases for new opportunities, including market potential, commercial pathway, risk analysis, competitive differentiation, financial viability, and potential exit strategies.
Chris has been with J&J for nearly 20 years and brings with him a diverse set of experiences having worked in the areas of consumer, pharma OTC, medical devices & diagnostics, as well as in consumer med-tech (vision and diabetes). He has also worked in multiple countries and has served in different roles including sales, commercial analytics, business development, product marketing, and strategic marketing. In his most recent role as the Global Director of Emerging Technologies at J&J Vision, he developed global platform strategies for innovation projects, translated insights into new development opportunities, and was responsible for driving the discovery and stage gate process for new product development.
He is a graduate of Brown University, enjoys sports both as an athlete and a youth coach, and is a passionate advocate of continued growth and learning.
