Senior Director, Consumer R&D
Felix is Senior Director of Consumer Scientific Innovation at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, London.Felix leads Consumer sector efforts to grow and maintain a portfolio of innovative external partnerships, collaborations and investments for the benefit of J&J's businesses within Consumer key strategic areas. Additionally, Felix is responsible for J&J´s global R&D efforts within two of J&J Self-Care categories, namely Cough and Cold Care as well as Digestive Health Care. Felix also holds the overall responsibility for Self-Care R&D efforts within the EMEA region.
Felix held scientific and technical leadership roles of increasing responsibility in Consumer Care and Pharma in Germany, India, Sweden and Switzerland. Most recently, next to his global R&D responsibility for Cough & Cold Care and Digestive Health Care, he was the responsible R&D Site Lead for the OTC R&D Site in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Before his joining J&J in 2014, Felix was Takeda’s Head of Supply Chain Coordination Europe, Canada and Emerging Markets. As such, Felix had a strong focus on developing Takeda’s emerging market strategy. Prior to that, he was Takeda/ Nycomed‘s Director, Corporate R&D and Nycomed’s Director, R&D Scouting and Strategic Support. From 2005 to 2008, Felix was Nycomed/ Altana’s Director, Chemical Research, living in India and being responsible for creating and leading Nycomed’s Chemical Research Institute in Mumbai. He started his career in 1999 at Altana Pharma as Laboratory Head before becoming Head of Bioanalytical.
Felix earned a master’s degree in chemistry and a PhD in organic chemistry from Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. He did his post-doc at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Felix is based in Zug, Switzerland.
