VP, Business Development, Emerging Markets
Herwig leads the emerging markets business development activities for Janssen Business Development. In this position, he directs an experienced and diverse team that negotiates in- and out-licensing activities, technology transfers, and acquisitions. The emerging markets are defined as Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), Latin America, the emerging markets of Europe (including Russia), and Middle East/Africa.
Herwig joined the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1984. He has worked in a variety of positions including clinical research, international marketing, and sales. He has also worked in Business Development for both the J&J Medical Devices sector and Consumer sector before joining the Pharmaceutical sector.
Herwig studied law at the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
