Associate Director, New Ventures, Johnson & Johnson Innovation Asia Pacific
Keiko is the Associate Director, New Ventures of Japan at the Innovation Center, Asia Pacific and is based in Tokyo. She is responsible for identifying and scouting innovation opportunities in Oncology and Immunology in Japan.
Prior joining Johnson & Johnson, Keiko worked with Daiichi Sankyo as a scientist in oncology for early stage drug discovery projects and later as an associate director for open innovation to promote collaboration programs with academia/biotech in Japan and overseas. She also worked at a small biotech in Japan for nearly two years serving as a Director.
Keiko received a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Biophysics, and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from The University of Tokyo. She went on to do postdoctoral fellowships at Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Subsequently she was an Assistant Professor at School of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio, prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry.
