Senior Director, Transactions & Alliances, Genomics and Nano-Electronics
Letizia helps nurture and drive collaborations with scientists within and outside of JRD to ensure delivery of innovation in key areas of the drug discovery and development agenda for genomics and nano-electronics and identifies, onboard and manage potentially transformational innovation collaborations that complement and further enable these areas of focus for Johnson & Johnson.
Letizia’s previous role at the London Innovation Centre (LIC) was focused on portfolio management and business operations within the Strategy & Operations team. She was nominated amongst 50 Movers and Shakers in U.K. Bio business by Bio beat in 2017. Most recently she closely supported the diligence and negotiation activities for the participation of Janssen in the UK Biobank Whole Genomics Sequencing consortium with the U.K. government, charity organizations and other industry partners.
Prior to this assignment, Letizia held multiple roles of expanding responsibility both in Italy, Belgium and UK, spanning across the pharmaceutical life cycle in CMC, global supply chain, commercial strategy and business development roles: her contributions include the introduction of spray-drying technologies which enabled the drug-ability of J&J’s HIV compound TMC125, the global supply chain launch readiness of Intelence®, and Incivo® in partnership with Vertex, the commercial launch readiness of Olysio® in partnership with Medivir in EMEA, and the global divesture of several mature brands. Letizia began her J&J career in Italy in 2000. Letizia holds an MS in Inorganic Theoretical Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy). She is a certified Design of Excellence Black Belt and an Ascend alumnae.
