New Venture Lead, France
Siau Bai is New Venture Lead for Johnson & Johnson Innovation. She is responsible for identifying partnerships opportunities in France across all Johnson & Johnson therapeutic areas. She acts as a local key contact for potential partners in the French scientific innovation ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, academic institutions, biotech companies, investors and non-profit organizations.
Siau is joining from Ipsen (France) where she was Corporate Business Development Director in charge of world-wide scouting, evaluation and due diligence as well as transaction negotiations of preclinical programs and early clinical stage assets. She was responsible for closing numerous partnerships and licensing deals with academic institutions and biotech companies across all therapeutic areas of interest.
Prior to joining Ipsen, Siau worked as Business Development and Licensing Manager at the Technology Transfer Office of Institut Pasteur (France) where she was responsible for outlicensing the institute’s technologies, establishing collaborations with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, interacting with the VC community and spinout companies in their incubator.
She started her career in the technology transfer field working at King’s College London Business Ltd as Contracts Associate. Prior to her business development roles, Siau was a scientist at King’s College London where she worked as a Cancer Research UK Fellow. She was also a Teaching Associate at Sorbonne University. Siau holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from University Paris-Saclay and a Masters in Finance from Sorbonne Business School, Paris.
