Tahera Kan is Vice President, Early Innovation Partnering at Johnson & Johnson Innovation EMEA.
In this role, Tahera leads the Transaction team, driving strategic alignment for the delivery of successful, transformational early external innovation in the life sciences ecosystem – including identification, incubation, due diligence, negotiations, portfolio management, and on-boarding for Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
Tahera has over 27 years of life sciences industry experience and has worked across a diverse set of countries, functions, and Johnson & Johnson sectors. She was previously Senior Director at Janssen Global Business Development where she demonstrated her ability to build high-performing teams and robust partnerships. Her experience in negotiations was honed at Janssen and within the J&J Global Medical Devices sector over the last 10 years via licensing, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as commercial deals.
Tahera is passionate about science and medicine and has worked with many teams at Janssen including Immunology, Rare Diseases, Discovery and Computational Sciences. She has been recognised for actively promoting a mindset of collaboration, transparency, and operational efficiency in large project teams.
Tahera obtained her degree in Biochemistry, then completed an MBA before undertaking an Immunology diploma at Pompidou/Descartes Hospital, Paris, and an Oncogenetics diploma at Institut Curie Paris.
