Tushar Sharma is an R&D engineer at the Johnson & Johnson Center for Device Innovation. In this role, Tushar is responsible for supporting the development of breakthrough medical device technologies.
Prior to this role, Tushar was a New Product Development Engineer at the UTHealth McGovern Medical School, where he worked closely with trauma, pediatric, and neurosurgeons to develop novel medical devices. These technologies spun out to two startups. Graftworks and Coagulex, that Tushar continued to support. Previously, Tushar was Senior R&D and Process Sustaining Engineer at Intel, where he oversaw a team of technicians that developed processes and tools for next generation microprocessors.
Tushar received his PhD and Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from IIT Madras, where he received academic distinction for his undergraduate research.
